Our Practice Pharmacist is highly trained and works as part of the practice team to improve quality of care for patients.  They work closely with the GPs to resolve medication issues and queries, which frees up GP time to enable them to focus their skills where they are needed most.  A Practice Pharmacist can work with patients to improve medication compliance and help them get the best use of their medications.  They can respond to acute medication requests, undertake medication reviews and be a point of contact for all medicine related queries both from patients and practice staff.  They are able to undertake audits, help reduce medicine wastage, prevent prescribing errors and ensure safe prescribing of medication and contribute to an overall improvement in outcomes for patients.
